Al-Haramain: An integrated services system for the comfort of pilgrims and Umrah performers.

The General Presidency for the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque continues to develop and enhance the facilities of the Two Holy Mosques, through a comprehensive package of services designed to improve the experience of millions of visitors and worshippers. The Presidency strives to provide a comfortable and safe environment that meets the highest operational and organizational standards.

These improvements include preparing the courtyards by deploying misting and cooling systems, in addition to landscaping and aesthetic coordination, which helps mitigate the heat and improve the overall climate. The Prophet's Mosque umbrellas project is a model of advanced engineering, providing protection from sunlight and operating with an automated system that takes into account weather changes, thereby increasing the efficiency of space utilization during peak times.

The courtyard lighting system has also been updated with standardized LED units, operating on a smart system aimed at rationalizing energy consumption and highlighting the architectural character of the two mosques, allowing worshippers to perform their rituals with ease and comfort.

To ensure the smooth flow of pilgrims and Umrah performers, the Presidency has designated clear pathways and installed multilingual signage, along with dedicated lanes for the elderly and people with special needs, as well as internal transportation and field teams to provide assistance.

The Presidency pays great attention to cleanliness, with washing and sterilization operations continuing around the clock using the latest technologies, and providing Zamzam water and drinking and ablution points continuously.

To further enhance the security and safety of visitors, the courtyards have been equipped with alarm and monitoring systems, in addition to first aid points and specialized teams in crowd management and emergency response, with ongoing maintenance work to ensure the readiness of all facilities.

These efforts come within the framework of a comprehensive vision that reflects the Kingdom’s keenness to serve the Two Holy Mosques and their guests, and to provide all capabilities to ensure the performance of their rituals with ease and convenience.
