30,000 Tours to Clean and Prepare Mosques Before Ramadan.

Mosques and congregations across the Kingdom have witnessed a remarkable level of organization in welcoming worshippers with the start of the holy month. This is thanks to the efforts of the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance, which aims to provide an ideal spiritual environment while adhering to the highest standards of organization and care.

The Ministry has intensified inspection tours through specialized field teams. These teams conducted over 30,000 visits during the first three days of the month, covering all regions of the Kingdom, to verify the readiness of facilities and ensure the implementation of instructions governing mosque operations.

These tours focused on monitoring adherence to prayer times according to the Umm al-Qura calendar, organizing Taraweeh prayers, and regulating the volume of loudspeakers. They also included ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of mosques, and the operation of lighting and air conditioning systems. Furthermore, the tours monitored the compliance of mosque staff with ministerial directives regarding attendance and implementation of instructions.

The monitoring also included overseeing the organization of Iftar meals, ensuring that donors have the necessary permits and preventing the collection of cash donations. Additionally, imams’ adherence to camera usage guidelines and the prohibition of broadcasting prayer images on social media were checked.

The results of the tours showed a significant increase in compliance with instructions, with a very limited number of violations recorded, all of which were addressed immediately. This reflects the awareness of mosque staff and their commitment to applying regulations and instructions, with the aim of strengthening religious values and promoting moderation.

The Ministry confirms the continuation of field monitoring around the clock through trained teams equipped with precise monitoring and documentation mechanisms, in order to improve the quality of services provided in houses of worship.

The Ministry has called on mosque-goers to cooperate and report any observations via the complaints reception center 1933, to support supervisory efforts and achieve the highest levels of care for mosques, stemming from the Ministry’s responsibility to supervise them and implement the directives of the wise leadership in caring for them.

This meticulous organization is the result of proactive plans prepared by the Ministry prior to the holy month, including maintenance, cleaning, and technical preparations, and intensified follow-up and supervision programs to ensure the performance of worship in an atmosphere of reverence and tranquility, reflecting the Kingdom’s and its wise leadership’s interest in houses of God and serving worshippers.
