Qatif is adorned with pride: Celebration of National Day and the Equestrian and Falconry Festival illuminates "Al-Rams"

The Al-Rams project launches in the heart of Al-Awamiya in Qatif with a grand opening ceremony titled “Founding Nights” this evening, continuing for three days. The project will host an exceptional journey through time, combining live performances and popular markets that reflect the authenticity of Saudi heritage, commemorating the founding of the First Saudi State.

The project’s grounds will transform into a vibrant cultural platform, blending the fragrance of the past with the vitality of the present, aiming to strengthen the connection to our historical roots for all members of society.

Doors will open to visitors daily from February 21st to 23rd, from 8:00 PM to midnight, offering a comprehensive national experience that takes them on a journey through diverse heritage programs.

This national festival welcomes visitors through collaboration between the Qatif Municipality, the Social Development Bank, and the charitable and developmental associations of Al-Awamiya, Saihat, and Umm Al-Sahik. This collaboration will be showcased through traditional Saudi hospitality and a tour of the popular market, which displays products reviving the old way of life and supporting the heritage economy.

Equestrian and falconry displays will take center stage at the celebratory event, giving attendees the opportunity to enjoy traditional sports that have long been a part of Saudi identity.

“Al-Hakawati” (the storyteller) will revive the heroic tales of ancestors with his captivating style, coinciding with interactive theater performances that engage the audience in joyful artistic displays.

The organizing committee has allocated spaces for handicrafts and live painting, aiming to preserve traditional professions and showcase visual arts to visitors, highlighting inherited national skills.

The festival management has also provided designated areas for professional photography, enabling visitors to document their moments and pride in national dress, in addition to offering a distinctive culinary experience through various stations serving traditional dishes.
