Crowning of Quran Memorizers… Names of Winners of the King Salman Award Announced.

The Minister of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance, Sheikh Abdullatif bin Abdulaziz Al Al-Sheikh, Supervisor General of Quranic Competitions, has announced the winners of the local competition for the King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud Award for Quran Memorization, Recitation, and Interpretation for boys in its 27th session. The announcement came after the conclusion of the final qualifying rounds held in Riyadh from Sha’ban 25th to 29th, 1447H (approximately April 1st to 5th, 2016), with the participation of 129 contestants competing in six branches.

The total value of the prizes allocated for the competition exceeds seven million riyals, reflecting the generous support of the wise leadership and its interest in serving the Book of God and encouraging young people to memorize, recite, and understand it.

In the first branch, Abdullah bin Ahmed Al-Mutawa secured first place with a prize of 400,000 riyals, followed by Abdulrahman bin Mukhtar in second place with 375,000 riyals, and Abdulrahman bin Hassan Kaddaf in third place with 350,000 riyals.

In the second branch, Aseel bin Ma’la Al-Mufawz won first place with a prize of 250,000 riyals, Omar bin Abdullah Al-Subei’ with second place and 225,000 riyals, and Ahmed bin Hamed Al-Sahli with third place and 200,000 riyals.

In the third branch, Muhanna bin Abdullah Al-Muhanna took first place with 180,000 riyals, followed by Bilal bin Nafe’ Al-Hejaily in second place with 170,000 riyals, Mahmoud bin Riyadh Filatah in third place with 160,000 riyals, Anas bin Abdullah Al-Ghadouni in fourth place with 150,000 riyals, and Aseed bin Bashir Fatni in fifth place with 140,000 riyals.

In the fourth branch, Khalid bin Abdulmohsen Al-Askar won first place with 120,000 riyals, Abdulrahman bin Tarad Al-Anzi in second place with 110,000 riyals, Amin bin Mohammed Mohammed in third place with 100,000 riyals, Sulaiman bin Bandar Al-Qahtani in fourth place with 90,000 riyals, and Faisal bin Al-Hamidi Al-Awfi in fifth place with 80,000 riyals.

In the fifth branch, Anas bin Ali Al-Mutairi secured first place with 60,000 riyals, Awad bin Sarhan Al-Rasheedi in second place with 55,000 riyals, Anas bin Yousef Abduljawad in third place with 50,000 riyals, Mohammed bin Mohsen Adwai in fourth place with 45,000 riyals, and Mohammed bin Mishbab Al-Manea in fifth place with 40,000 riyals.

Finally, in the sixth branch, Tameem bin Saud Al-Anzi won first place with 35,000 riyals, Anas bin Mohammed Abdul Wahid in second place with 32,500 riyals, Bassam bin Hamed Al-Saati in third place with 30,000 riyals, Saud bin Bandar Al-Adwani Al-Zahrani in fourth place with 27,500 riyals, and Abdulrahman bin Bader Al-Anzi in fifth place with 25,000 riyals.

The Minister of Islamic Affairs praised the high level of the participants and their ability to memorize, recite, and interpret the Holy Quran, commending this honorable achievement. He extended his congratulations to the winners and their families, urging them to continue working with the Book of God and following its morals, and asked God to reward the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and his Crown Prince for their support of the Holy Quran and its people.
